Had the Rainbow Roll + Nigiri combo which also came with a bowl of miso. The fish was fresh, the service was fast and prices were reasonable.

New Nagano is my go-to sushi place when Ebisu is inevitably so busy that they can't seat us. This small restaurant is unassuming, but it's the restaurant that converted me into a raw sushi lover with their Sunset Roll. I take people here when I want someone to have that same conversion.The restaurant itself for dine-in is usually not busy, so if you're on Geary and you see that bright yellow sign, know that you'll probably have a nice seat and tea and water brought to you right away. The service is also pretty fast because of it, and they take care of you if you're not a jerk - so, don't be a jerk and you should be fine. Honestly, that's the case with most places.They are often very busy for pick up and delivery orders, because there's a special if you order over a certain amount of food. Even if that's the case, you'll still get your food faster if you're sitting down because you're already in there.
